Lavenham Classics update

Hello from the Lavenham Classics (LC) team, we hope the year has got off to a good start for you all.

The Lavenham Classic motor show will be back this summer, so please add 30th August 2026 to your diary.

 Lavenham Classics 2025

A huge thank you to those of you who joined us last August to exhibit or attend as a visitor.

The event attracted over 200 superb vehicles and was blessed with fair weather.

Car clubs included Alvis Owner Club, Essex Jaguar, 1066 and East Anglian Practical Classics.

The food and drinks went down well, and the entertainment, from Ronan Williams and JD The Soul Machine, wasuplifting.

From exhibitors, visitors and those paying for car parking, the event made £3,600 profit for the Lavenham Community Council, which helps fund local needs across the village.

We had a wide range of vehicles on display, proving that the event offers something for every one of all ages.

2025 was the first year we went digital, with tickets available via Eventbrite. We’d love to hear your feedback on how this worked for you. We did recognise some drawbacks on the day, but it certainly was a big help in managing the numbers attending and saved us money and time.

And it attracted people from as far afield as Exter and North-West England, although most exhibitors remain local to East Anglia, which is as it should be.

This year’s entry forms will be made available from April onwards, and we will most likely use Eventbrite again. Please watch out for the newsletter announcing that entries are open!

Watch out for more stories on our exhibitors and the fact that the car show is in its 3rd decade.

2020 – Event still happening if possible…

Dear fellow classic vehicle enthusiast,

I hope that you and your families and friends are keeping safe during these challenging times.

Given the restrictions on meeting in public places and the requirements for social distancing, amongst the other myriad of Government guidelines, I thought that I should update you on the current situation regarding Lavenham Classics.

It is still my intention to hold the event, albeit with some revisions and being mindful that Covid 19 control methods are a moving feast.

In anticipation of the further easing of movement & meeting restrictions I intend to keep the event scheduled unless I have no alternative but to cancel it. I am hopeful of it being a celebration of the return to some sort of normality.

Thus for this year there will be a strict “Entry by issued ticket only” policy in order that entry numbers can be contained within the available space whilst delivering safe distancing between entrants. For this reason there is no entry cut-off date, first come, first served will apply.

Therefore please do get your entry forms in if you wish to attend.

The event is organised on behalf of Lavenham Community Council, a registered charity, who will process your entry in the usual way: cashing your entry cheque upon receipt and issuing tickets during early August.

IF the event does have to be cancelled then full refunds will be issued immediately.

[As a result of feedback from last year I am delighted to announce that the award winning Lavenham Butchers are providing the catering this year, supported by our usual bar and ice cream providers].

Enjoy your classic vehicles and most of all, keep safe.
